How to use
Lucy Gum works by releasing nicotine that is then absorbed through the mouth.

Even though Lucy looks, tastes, and feels like regular chewing gum, using it the same way as gum may lead to effects such as hiccups, heartburn, or stomach upset.

The best way to use Lucy Gum is to chew the piece for 10-15 seconds and park it in your lip to allow absorption of nicotine through the mouth. The more you chew, the more nicotine gets released, so chewing it fewer times before parking may help you have the best experience.

If the amount of nicotine released is too low (or the effects have worn off), feel free to chew the piece some more and park it again to release more nicotine. You can chew up to two pieces at a time for a higher mg.

Another option is to bite or break a piece in half to start with a smaller amount (2mg) of nicotine. That way, you can get a feel for how you like to use it without overdoing it. Using a new product like Lucy can take some practice. Please reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions.

Can I eat or drink at the same time I use Lucy Gum?
It is best to avoid eating or drinking immediately before or while using Lucy Gum. The absorption of nicotine depends on the maintenance of an alkaline environment within your mouth and eating or drinking tends to make the mouth more acidic.

Can I swallow my saliva?
We recommend trying to swallow as little as possible as swallowing too much could lead to heartburn. Please remember to chew the piece for about 10-15 seconds and park it in your lip to allow absorption of nicotine through the mouth.

The more you chew, the more nicotine gets released, so chewing it fewer times before parking may help you have the best experience. If the amount of nicotine released is too low (or the effects have worn off), feel free to chew the piece some more and park it again to release more nicotine.

How much nicotine is in each piece of Lucy gum?
Lucy 4mg Gum contains pharmaceutical-grade nicotine. Lucy 2 and 6mg Gum contains pure, tobacco-free nicotine.

Does Lucy Gum stick to dentures?
Lucy Gum may not be the right fit for you if you wear dentures, as it may stick to them. For a denture-friendly option, please try our nicotine BreakersPouches, or Lozenges!

How long does a piece of Lucy Gum last?
The typical person using a piece of Lucy Chew+Park will feel a satisfying boost of nicotine for 30 minutes.

Can I chew Lucy like regular gum?
Lucy Gum works by releasing nicotine that is then absorbed through the mouth. Please remember to chew the piece for 10-15 seconds and then position it flat between your gum and cheek. Every few minutes, repeat the process until you achieve your desired intensity. If you chew Lucy Gum like regular gum and not as instructed, you will end up swallowing more of the nicotine, instead of absorbing it through the mouth where it is most bioavailable.

Can I use Lucy gum instead of my vape? (keep or remove?)
We encourage adult tobacco users, including people who vape or use e-cigarettes, to give Lucy Gum a try for a whole new nicotine experience.

Side effects
Lucy Gum: If you're experiencing indigestion, stomach upset, heartburn, hiccups, or any other discomfort, it is most likely because you're chewing too many times and swallowing the Nicotine instead of absorbing it through your mouth. We'd encourage you to try it again. Break your next piece in half and chew only a few times before parking it in your lip to absorb in your mouth, that way you're swallowing a minimal amount of nicotine. Please see this article about swallowing nicotine when using Lucy Chew+Park.

How many pieces are in each pack of Lucy Gum?

Each pack (or sleeve) of Lucy Gum contains 10 pieces.

What do I do if my dog/cat/child accidentally ingests Lucy Gum?

If Lucy Gum is accidentally ingested, please contact the poison control hotline at (800) 222-1222.

Does Lucy Gum need to be refrigerated?

Lucy Gum does not need to be refrigerated. However, please do not store Lucy in temperatures above 90 F for an extended period, as it may cause changes to the flavor and texture.

Can I quit smoking with Lucy Gum?

Lucy Gum is not a medicine and is not approved for smoking cessation. We developed our formula from the ground up to provide the best experience for adult tobacco users looking for high-quality alternatives to cigarettes and other traditional tobacco products.
